I find it very interesting from what the article argues that El Paso and Laredo are some of the safest cities in America despite their nearly 3/4th populations of Immigrants from Mexico. The article would have you led to believe that cities with high levels of Immigrants are actually among the safest cities in the world, but this is clearly not the case with Los Angeles, San Diego, and its Richmond California where a large number of Immigrants and Foreign born Latinos live and have high crime and arrest rates. Instead, I think this article shows that Laredo and El Paso are examples of where when Immigrant Latinos are given political representation and are a majority class then naturally Latinos in America will form very successful, competitive, and thriving communities.
