LULAC Finds New Arizona Immigration Law Unconstitutional

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) will sue to block a new Arizona immigration enforcement law if Governor Jan Brewer signs it into law. LULAC president Rosa Rosales and many immigrant rights activists believe the bill will allow racial profiling of Latinos because if police officers believe under "reasonable suspicion" that a person is an illegal immigrant the police officer has a right to search that individual. This is yet another reason why a national immigration reform policy is needed.
